Sending E-mail messages
Sending a message
Now that you are ready to send the message, you need to verify that the e-mail address you are sending the message to is correct.
Click Send in the message composition window (see Figure 1).
If you are connected to a network or your Internet Service Provider, Messenger immediately sends the message. If you are working offline, Messenger moves the message to the Outbox or to the Unsent Messages folder to deliver when Communicator reconnects.
Note: Messenger is initially set to copy outgoing mail and discussion group messages to the Sent folder. You should periodically delete messages from the Sent folder to keep it from growing too large. To change the preferences for outgoing messages, choose Preferences from the Edit menu, click Mail & Groups, and then click Messages.
Replying to a message
If your Mail & Groups preferences are set so that Messenger quotes the original message when replying, the text of the original message appears above the insertion point in the message composition window. To change this setting, choose Preferences from the Edit menu, click Mail & Groups, then click Messages. Your change affects future replies.
Choose Reply to All if you want to reply to the person who sent you the message and also send a carbon copy (cc:) of your reply to everyone else that received the original message.
Messenger automatically addresses your reply to the recipients listed in the Reply-To header of the original message.
